My first novel " Wounded Healers ", written by Shoko Horikawa Moynihan, the owner of Shoko's Natural Products, was just published by Bungeisha, Japan.

This fictional story is about two women: one is Japanese who grew up in Japan and now lives in Virginia, the other is an American who lived in Virginia during the American Civil War. They were both wounded, yet they became wounded healers. This book will touch the readers' hearts in such a profound way that they will remember it for a long time.

Shoko Horikawa was born in Kumamoto, Japan in 1948. When she was 19 years old, she left Japan and studied in Israel from 1968 to 1971. Shoko moved to the U.S.A. in 1972 and studied from 1972 until 1975 in Elim Bible Inst. Lima N.Y.. There she met and in the spring of 1975 married Robert Michael Moynihan. In 1978 Shoko graduated from Van Guard University in Southern California.
In 1985 Shoko translated the book "Summer of the Monkeys" published by Hyoronsha, Japan.
Since November of 1990, Shoko has owned and operated "Shoko's Natural Products", located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.
