Turkey Tail Mushroom (Coriolus versicolor) is historically known in China as Yun Zhi and in Japan as Kawaratake and may be the most studied medicinal mushroom among them all. From this mushroom, PSK (polysaccharide-Krestin) was extracted in Japan in 1965 and PSP (polysaccharide-peptide) in China in 1984.
